where I am

I don’t really like photographing in or around my house more than a few times, but I get bored and can’t always go somewhere. So, I grabbed my little thermal printer camera made for kids and went exploring.

I tried my hardest not to be a perfectionist with these photos. If I wasn’t sure a photo would work I would take it anyway.

There’s supposed to be a trail of ants here.

Can you find the butterfly?

Macro photography is my favorite way to take photos. Unfortunately, not all cameras have a macro option so it’s sometimes difficult not to get too close.

I like the out of focus look though. I think it goes well with the lo-fi look this camera produces.

I’ve been in a bit of a slump lately and using this camera helps me not to be so '“perfect.” I don’t worry about lighting, composition, or even the subject. Since I don’t know what the result is going to be I just take the photo and enjoy the outcome.

Thank you so much for reading!
